There are many tourist attractions in Sri Lanka National Parks or sanctuaries are one of them. There are several National Parks in Sri Lanka. Some of them are Yala. Wilpattu, Kumana, Wasgomuwa, Bundala, and Minneriya National Parks. In these parks, animals wander here and there in their natural habitat. 📌
Yala is famous for deer. It is situated in the Ampara district. Wilpattu is famous for wild elephants and tigers. It is situated in the Puttalam district. Kumana is famous for both local and migrant birds. It is also called "the Birds paradise". 📍
Wasgomuwa National Park is situated in the Matale district. Large herds of elephants can be seen in Minneriya National Park. It is 8889 hectares in extent. One hundred and sixty species of birds live in this National Park. This has become a very popular place among tourists. Both Girithale and Minneriya tanks are situated in the boundary of this park.
All these National Parks are maintained by the Wildlife Department. No one is allowed to cut down trees hunt animals in these parks. National Parks are areas where animals could live unhindered and undisturbed by man, the hunter. 💯
National Parks can be regarded as one of our national treasures.🐆
